Palaces
With one Palaces usually means a building with a stately appearance and residential character of the sovereign, the nobles and the rulers. The building was used mostly as both residence and seat of government. Precursor of these homes were mostly castles.
They had names such as natural water resources, pleasure palace or hunting lodge. Every building was constructed differently according to the purpose. So a hunting lodge looked completely different from a summer residence or natural water resources, one can say where the latter had also to some extent a defensive character.
